About the chef
Ambrosia Personal and Private Chef Services is operated solely by Chef James Randol.
I began my interest in food at a young age. By adolence, I enjoyed spending time at the local bakery. I was always interested in trying new varieties of food, and would often spend my allowance there. By my early teens, I started stepping into the kitchen and learning cooking basics. My first learning experiences were through home economic and foods and nutrition courses, as well as simple Americana fare with family meals at home. My very first job was in food, and there hasn't been much looking back since. After spending a couple of years at a bread bakery, I decided to go ahead and make the jump to culinary school. I completed a degree in the culinary arts at Le Cordon Bleu Atlanta. Following this, I began to expand on the diversity of my work experience. I have worked in an upscale deli, in catering, as a brunch cook, at an all vegan cafe, and at a cake bakery. Then I became executive chef of Cru in Atlanta, and followed that with country club work before finally settling in residental household cooking. So I have a fairly diverse range of experience spanning 10 years.
